Leicester v Derby

Match 18 – League.  Saturday 13th November 2010

Leicester City (A) – The Sven Revolution

Derby travelled to East Midlands rival Leicester City in high spirits and were one of current in-form teams in the league.

However, things got off to a bad start and Derby found themselves behind within the first quarter of an hour after Andy King coolly slotted the ball past Frank Fielding.

Derby struggled to produce a good, solid performance like they had done just days earlier.  They created chances, but none to really trouble the hosts.

The points were destined to remain at the Walkers Stadium after former Derby player, Steve Howard, calmly converted from the penalty spot on seventy-one minutes.

Derby would be hoping the result would just be a minor blip in their season.

Final score: Lost 2 – 0  ” Rams Suffer New Manager Syndrome”
