Derby v Hull

Match  34 – League.  Tuesday 22 February 2011

Hull City (H) – Same Slippery Slope

Derby signed striker, Theo Robinson, on loan from Millwall and he went straight into the squad.  Derby’s performance was much improved from recent matches but they still struggled to produce chances.

Derby’s biggest problem in this fixture was the goalkeeping position, as Stephen Bywater had to go off injured leaving youngster James Severn the only available keeper to replace him.

The only goal of the game came on seventy-one minutes.  Hull won a corner, Severn misjudged the cross allowing Anthony Gerrard to finish from inside the box.

Continuing their free-fall, Derby looked to be in serious danger of slipping nearer the relegation zone.

Final Score: Lost 0 – 1 – “Back in the Dog Fight”
