After we are having a “Show & Tell” feature, (I keep getting in trouble for saying “Show Me Yours”.) If you have anything that is Rams/football related and means a lot to you bring it along and tell us why.
There’s also a “Fuddle” so a few tasty treats would be welcome, as always drinks (Tea, Coffee, Squash) are available free of charge.
Looking forward to seeing you all there, take care
Chairman – DCDSC
Have you been watching Robbie and Ola on Strictly Come Dancing? Even though Sav has now left the Rams, I know we have quite a few die hard fans that still keep an eye on what he’s doing. Pat and Michelle DCDSC Members who came to the October Social last week rave about him and still keep in touch. Those supporters that went to the Reading away match were treated to a half time tango, after a quick search I found this video, it’s a little distant but not bad 🙂
Thanks to all members that attended the October social last Thursday 20th. Steve Nicholson Chief Football Reporter from The Derby Evening Telegraph was fantastic, he talked about the Rams and even gave us a couple of little “scoops”. We hope to get Steve back down so look out for his name and don’t miss it. Commitments permitting, Steve will also join us at the Christmas Party on Tuesday 6th December.
Next social combines the AGM, members will have the latest dcdsc newsletter with all the details, along with more info on the Christmas Party.
We’re looking forward to Steve’s first visit to the DCDSC and hearing about his career as a top Midlands sports journalist and some of his stories and experiences writing about and following the Rams.
One thing we’ve not been able to find is a picture of Steve, so if you can pick him out form the picture let us know.
(The following is an excerpt taken from the Derby Telegraph website – click here to view Derby Evening Telegraph.)
Steve Nicholson, Chief football writer.
I LOVE football and, therefore, my job. My role is to report, analyse and comment on Derby County Football Club.
Each day the Telegraph carries up to three pages of coverage of the Rams to keep our readers informed about what is happening at Pride Park.
We follow the fortunes of the club closely throughout the year and I haven’t missed a game home or away, including matches played abroad and friendlies, in seven years.
The biggest kick I get is being able to keep passionate Derby fans in touch with their club.
Doors open 7.45pm on Thursday night, usual place at Pride Park I look forward to seeing you there –
This is a DCDSC Members event.
Please bring along your membership card or number – thanks
