Discount Ends Soon

Hi Peeps.

Just wanted to remind you that you only have a few days left to renew your DCDSC membership or join for the first time.

Monday night sees our first social of the season at Pride Park, the Rams memorabilia experts are joining us for the evening to show some of their extensive DCFC collection.

Andy & Andy ( that may get confusing), have also offered to do an Rams-tique road show, if you have anything that you want more information about, it may be a rare item that’s worth a fortune (do I qualify for a commission :-)) bring it down and they’ll cast their expert eyes over it.

(Toby – please don’t bring the turnstile from the BBG,  we’d have a hard time getting it in).

Doors open at 7.30pm for the social, light refreshments will be available, and you will be able to join on the night, so right click on the link below to download your application/renewal form and bring it along with a crisp £5.00 note and we’ll sign you up. You’ll be the cheapest signing the Rams make this season 🙂

Roy’s Bar Open’s Saturday

Just had information through about the new Mcfarland’s bar, it’s a little late notice but if you can make it I think it would be worth a look.

The New McFarland’s Bar opens this Saturday and is FREE to experience on Saturday with memberships for the season being sold on the day.

Some of the 71/72 winning team are now scheduled to be in there for a Q&A.

The lounge is open from 11.30am until 2.45pm on a first come first served basis. The early kick off will also be shown in there.

—–

In honour of the Rams Legend Roy McFarland, Derby County last month named the bar in the Pedigree Suite, McFarland’s Bar and it will be in use exclusively for season ticket holders for the first time on Saturday when Sheffield Wednesday head to Pride Park Stadium.

As part of an introductory offer, the first 300 memberships of McFarland’s Bar will be available exclusively to season ticket holders for only £10 for the 2012-13 season, thereafter memberships will revert to the normal price of £25.

There will be a limited number of available memberships that can be purchased on Saturday within the Pedigree Suite for those that would like to see the facility prior to purchasing their membership but entry will be on a strictly first come first served basis.  All prior purchased memberships will be guaranteed entry.

Legendary Rams Alan Hinton and Terry Hennessey, as well as a number other popular faces from Derby County’s title-winning 1971-72 team including the man himself- Roy Mac will be gracing McFarland’s Bar on Saturday and so season ticket holders are encouraged to get in early to secure entry.

McFarland’s Bar @ The Pedigree Suite will be hosted at each home game by a Derby County compere who will deliver sports quiz competitions, interview special guests and distribute prizes courtesy of Club Partner Marston’s.  Past and present Derby County players, plus mascot Rammie, will be regularly in attendance throughout the campaign.

In addition a wide range of wines, beers and soft drinks will be on offer, with the best beer prices around from only £2.50 per pint available from opening time until 90 minutes before kick-off. A choice of hot food will also be available to purchase from the newly installed Butcher’s Block facility.

Speaking at the unveiling of McFarland’s Bar, he said: “It is a great honour to have the supporters bar named after myself, especially on the 40th anniversary of winning the 1st Division Championship title.

“I think it is a great idea by the Club to offer the supporters such a great facility on a match day, and I shall certainly be popping in throughout the season for a pint!”

Season ticket holders are encouraged to purchase their membership prior to the opening game from the Digonex Ticket Office or by calling 0871 472 1884 (option 1) to take advantage of the offer and enhance their matchday experience.

——

Just a reminder that Roy will be visiting us in November another great reason to join the DCDSC again  this season.

It’s Almost Here!

Only a few days to go before The Rams kick-off their 2012-13 campaign.

It’s a week later than usual I presume due to the Euro’s, tonight Nigel and the boys take on Scunthorpe in the First round of the Capital One Cup (should we be saying that? Don’t they sponsor you know who?

Hopefully we’ll get off to a good start, cup matches in the last couple or three years haven’t been that great for us. So, fingers crossed, we’ll have a better run at them this season.

Have you signed up for your DCDSC Membership yet? We’re hoping to get a newsletter out soon, but our first social is booked in for Monday 3rd September.

We’re having a Derby County/Rams memorabilia night, run by two devoted Derby fans who will be bringing along a selection of  memorabilia for you to have a look at, and if you have anything that you’d like more information about, or perhaps you think it might worth something.  Bring it along and Andy or Andy (Yep, they’re both called Andy), will be able to tell you all about it.

No pressure lads 🙂

I’ll add more information about the evening and the 2 Andy’s soon, so check back to find out.

DCDSC Membership is on at an early bird price of just £5.00 so get it while it’s “CHEEP!”  –  (“Cheep d’ya get it” :-))

Player Of The Season

It’s getting to that time of the year again when we have to vote for our Player Of The Season.

We had a poll at our last social in March  so we have a fair idea of the players in contention.

John Brayford was our awesome Player of the Year last season, unfortunately injuries have hampered his season this year, but again has played really well when he has been injury free.

To vote for your player of the year, post a comment below or on our face book page, we need to give the Executive Supporters Committee our choice by April 1st – so leave a comment or face book post.

.

We can only take votes from DCDSC Members, so unfortunately non-member votes won’t be counted.
