Hi Peeps. Are you getting excited? It’s soon going to be here.
Now we have the fixtures for the 09/10 season, we will be planning our social nights for the season too. We’re aiming to publish all the dates (room permitting) so you will know in well advance when the social nights are on, and more important what’s going on. That way you will be able to plan well ahead, get your transport booked to make sure that you don’t miss any.
While we’re talking about social nights, what would you like to see or do? To let us know, click on “No Comments/Comments” underneath this post and type a message in the “Leave a Repy” box .
Hi All – We have re-introduced membership cards for paid up members for the new season 2009/10, which you will receive with your next newsletter.
When you get it, keep it safe and bring it with you when you come to the social nights.
Being a paid up member we’re also trying to get further benefits and discounts or you, to get these you will need to produce your membership card to show that you’re a member of DCDSC, so, that’s another reason to keep it safe.
Unfortunately due to very poor ticket sales The End of Season Party on Monday June 8th has been cancelled. Those of you that have bought tickets will obviously receive a full refund and will be contacted by either my self or Julie to make sure that you know and so don’t turn up on the night. It is disappointing but if we were to go ahead with it, we would stand to lose a considerable amount of money, which (as a Charity) would be an irresponsible thing to do. If you’d like to contact me about this you can email me via the contact page,or, leave a comment below. take care all – Tim
The Award Winning GreenBank Group who are the secondary shirt sponsors for Derby County held a GreenBank Pitch Day at Pride Park for their customers, in the evening they invited me along to their Pitch Day Awards Dinner to accpet a cheque on behalf of DCDSC for – wait for this £684.00, that’s Six Hundred & Eighty Four Pounds. I was absolutley “Gob smacked” I think this is the biggest single donation we have ever had, so a BIG BIG Thank You goes out to The GreenBank Group and their customers for their kind invitation & generosity. Plus a special thank you from me goes to Peter Cobham, Charles Conroy, Sally, Kimberley, Martin & Lorraine, for making us feel so welcome on the night – absolutley brill! photo soon.
