Also wanted to apologise for the lack of a newsletter, we are looking for more people to join the committee and help out with the DCSDC, so if you’re interested in helping your fellow disabled supporters reply to this email or give your name to Emma Drury at DCFC or email our secretary Julie Taylor at tinyjasmine1@gmail.com – for the DCDSC to grow and move forward we do need new people to join in and a little more help.

Other news.

We are trying to have the 2 disabled parking spaces outside the ticket office widened to allow disabled drivers to open their car door fully to get in & out of their cars easier. Unfortunately we can’t do anything permanently until the end of the season, but Emma has arranged for traffic cones to be placed (on non match days) in the spaces either side of the current disabled spaces allowing disabled supporters to park a little more easily. (On a match day the spaces either side are taken).

CredAbility Card

Have you claimed you free CredCard yet? As you may know the DCDSC have funded 50 tickets, for the first 50 members to join. We are well over 50 members now (we’re nearer to 100 than 50). So make sure you contact Martin at Nimbus Disability. Even if you miss out on the free one, Martin is doing a special deal for DCSDC Members at £10.00 for 3 years (Usual price is £15) saving you a massive 30%.

More place are taking the CredAbility Card as proof of disability to qualify for a carer/companion ticket, so look out for the following signs. I’ve just been on the Derby Playhouse website and see that they accept it. Other football clubs will be accepting it too, I know Forest have, Derby too this will make it much easier to get a carer ticket included, no more carrying valuable paperwork around with you as proof, this has the potential to be National, make sure you apply soon.

That’s about it from me, just to say the Rams are doing fantastic, the blip at Leeds when we played against 12 men (what a poor referee), was just a blip. It was like a match from back in the 70’s, some things never change.

Keep the faith, and lets see what Christmas and the New Year bring, rumours of Patrick Bamford being signed though I think Middlesbrough would put up a bit of a fight to keep him.

See you Monday – till then remember to ROAR ON THE RAMS!

Take care

Tim
